Destiny : graduation series

love capturing the light and dark.

soft and airy yet moody

for me working with clients especially young women, during special occasions like graduation I always try to make comfort the priority

what does that look like? Making them feel comfortable enough to have intimate moments such as dressing and styling the hair, working up close with makeup artist, and just feeling so content enough that it all comes alive in the images. Nothing contrived or posed. It’s not always easy and not always quick. But always worth it in the end to get a client comfortable enough with me, and with herself, in her own skin, to shine and enjoy the moment

her first look was of her style and look preference

soft subtle romantic pretty. That was how she felt in her dress so we aimed to capture that mood.

she was brave enough to let me add some purple extensions in her hair for a bit of pop of color that also complimented her dress color . Yes I happened to have purple extensions 😉

then she let us play. But also was drawn to the mood of the next images…

These shoots are very different from the creative ones I post, the high fashion editorial looks, as it’s not about what I want to see, it’s best the clients wants her hair to look like, a feeling. It’s always about the feeling

in this case she felt so dam good in the end, that she wanted to play around….so we played

And this is where it just got fun and juicy

a mood shines through

i love how Destiny’s mood came across in the more editorial images.

she got to showcase her vision of what she wanted to see for her prom shoot, show off her pretty pastel dress and long gorgeous hair.

then got to show off her strength and sassy side, with a touch of badass if I do say so ( I say so)

As always, i am part of this beautiful team
